Ignite Lite

Ignite Lite is a group for young people aged 15-35 who volunteer to be involved part-time in youth ministry within the Diocese of East Anglia.  They work with the full-time Ignite Team, helping with as much or as little of the team’s work as they wish, often alongside their full-time work or study commitments.

As a member of Ignite Lite you could choose to volunteer in a number of different ways. You could, for example, find yourself helping with the practical side of events, like setting-up, planning and catering, or you may wish to help us to deliver Christ-centred talks, activities or music to children and young people. Members also help us provide digital content for online assemblies and YouTube videos. The list of possibilities is almost endless!

Volunteers from Ignite Lite play an especially important role in the planning and delivery of larger Youth Service events, such as the Ignite Festival and Epiphany Candlelight Mass. It is also possible for work with Ignite Lite to count as volunteering hours for awards schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award and Faith in Action.

The Ignite Lite group also meets up several times a year with the Ignite Team, receiving teaching and training in youth ministry, spending time together as a team and, importantly, praying and growing in our faith. To find out if there’s a  weekend or meet-up planned soon, visit our Events page.

Joining Ignite Lite is a great way to serve others, share your faith and even grow your own relationship with Christ. We are always looking for new members.
