Bishop pays tribute to Haverhill priest Fr Michael Teader

Bishop Alan has announced that Fr Michael Teader, parish priest at St Felix in Haverhill, died peacefully this morning (February 7).

“It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Fr Michael Teader died this morning quite peacefully in the nursing home where he had been looked after over the past month or so. May he rest in peace,” writes Bishop Alan.

“I visited him on Wednesday and gave him Holy Communion and Canon David Bagstaff saw him last night and prayed Evening Prayer with him.

“Fr Michael has given so much to the Church and particularly to our Diocese, both in his work in education and in his pastoral care both as a permanent deacon and then as the parish priest in St Felix in Haverhill, after his ordination to the priesthood in 2001. We thank God for his life and ministry and pray for the repose of his soul.”

Funeral details are to be confirmed.
