CAFOD East Anglia Community Participation Coordinator, Jane Crone, said: "We would not be able to do what we do without the support of volunteers in parishes and schools and Volunteers Week from June 4 is an ideal time to think about it.
"CAFOD is the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales and a highly respected international development charity. We stand beside people living in poverty ' whatever their religion or culture. If you join our network of volunteers you can learn new skills, meet inspiring new people, become part of a friendly community and make a difference.
"Our schools volunteers inspire and empower children and young people in our Catholic primary and secondary schools. We provide volunteers with training and pay travel expenses.
If either of these opportunities inspire you to volunteer and you'd like to find out morehave a look at our blog or contact Jane Crone at the East Anglia Volunteer Centre. firstname.lastname@example.org 01223 358552 ' 07779 804252.
