Catholics from across the Diocese of East Anglia are invited to join a special Mass in Bury St Edmunds this September to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Missio Red Box partnership with the Mill Hill Missionaries.
Missio is the Pope’s charity for World Mission, supporting missionaries around the world as they share the Gospel and serve communities in need. Through the generosity of parishioners across the Diocese of East Anglia, more than £56,000 was donated through the Red Box appeal in 2025, with countless prayers accompanying every gift.
To mark this significant milestone, a Diocesan Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 12 September at 11am at St Edmund’s Catholic Church, Westgate Street, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 1QG.
The principal celebrant will be Fr Gerry Hastie MHM, Vicar General for Europe and North America.
Following Mass, everyone is invited to stay for a shared lunch and an opportunity to hear more about the work of Missio and the Mill Hill Missionaries.
All supporters of the Missio Red Box, together with the wider diocesan community, are warmly invited to attend.
