Chance to join climate pilgrimage to lobby Parliament

CAFOD campaigners from across East Anglia will join thousands of others on June 26 for a Mass Lobby of Parliament, where hundreds of MPs are expected to meet with their constituents as they call for urgent climate action.

At The Time is Now climate pilgrimage, organisations belonging to The Climate Coalition, including the Catholic development charity CAFOD, will unite call on the government to take urgent action on the climate crisis.

CAFOD’s local representative in East Anglia, Jane Crone, said: “CAFOD supporters in parishes and schools across East Anglia Diocese know that now is the time to confront the climate and environmental crisis. On their retreat day year 10 students at Notre Dame High School in Norwich showed their willingness to commit to reducing carbon emissions to zero by photographing themselves in a big zero outside the school (pictured above by Alex Savage).”

Coaches are travelling from every diocese in England and Wales. Find out more or sign up at: cafod.org.uk/climatelobby
