Clare Priory craft fair expecting up to 10,000 visitors

The popular annual Clare Priory Craft Fair, which has run since 1993 in the Suffolk town, takes place once again on July 13 and 14 and is expecting up to 10,000 visitors.


The fair has grown steadily to become a very popular event, and now receives around 10,000 visitors over the two days. Exhibitors and visitors alike greatly appreciate the unique atmosphere and setting of the Priory, and many return year after year. All proceeds go to charity, and the organisers and helpers are all unpaid volunteers.

Opening Times: 10am – 5pm. Admission: one day: Adults £5, Seniors £4; both days: Adults £8, Seniors £6; accompanied under-16s are free.

With over 140 exhibitors and 160 stalls there is something for everyone. Crafts on display in 2018 included blacksmithing, wood craft, leatherwork, stick-making, textiles, ceramics, high-quality wooden furniture, metalwork, jewellery, lace-making, artists, plants and flowers, wool-spinning, artisan food and drink, glassware, pyrography, photography, decoupage, cards & stationery, clothing & accessories, candles, aromatherapy, beauty products.

For children there is a traditional Punch & Judy shows, magician and free daily children’s raffle

There is also a licensed bar, refreshments and live entertainment.
