Diocese needs Marriage & Family Life Co-ordinator

The Diocese of East Anglia wishes to appoint a part-time Co-ordinator for the Marriage & Family Life Commission.

The post-holder must be a practicing Catholic in good standing, with a good understanding of, and commitment to, the Catholic Church’s teaching on marriage and family life.

The role is 0.5 FTE, with flexible hours including some Saturdays, Sundays and evenings as required.  Annual salary is £33,150 pro rata (i.e. £16,575).

The post-holder will oversee the Diocese’s established programme of marriage preparation, and ensure availability of supporting resources. These resources include access to instruction in fertility awareness methods, and other programmes designed to help families and marriages in difficulty. In addition the post holder will attend Commission meetings and organise Masses and events to support marriage and family life throughout the Diocese.

The post-holder will report to the Bishop, as well as the Chair of the Marriage and Family Life Commission and the Diocesan Financial Administrator.
