Claudio said: “A short reflection on the life of St Faustina and how the Divine Mercy Chaplet came to be was followed by the blessing of the large Divine Mercy icon/painting. This led us straight into the Divine Mercy Chaplet led by our wonderful music ministry. We then had Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament finishing with Benediction.
“The music ministry complimented the Holy Time beautifully with chants and hymns to the Blessed Sacrament. A parishioner led us the through the recitation of the Holy Rosary plus we had time to include the praying of Vespers. Fr Waldimar was also available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The programme ended with Holy Mass led by the music ministry team.”
One parishioner told Claudio: “I would like you to know I was truly blessed to be at the Divine Mercy Service yesterday, it was a beautiful and inspiring service. I thoroughly enjoyed the singing and everyone making me feel as I was one of a giant family it is fantastic and lovely to feel like I am part of something and not alone.”
“This is a testimony which gives us the inspiration to continue arranging such celebrations to mark key events within the church’s liturgical year,” said Claudio. “No matter how small or large our congregation is, Jesus is waiting to touch the heart and life of people through such holy celebrations.”
