Masses being live-streamed across East Anglia parishes

With the decision to stop public acts of worship in Catholic churches in England and Wales following government advice on coronavirus,  a rapidly growing number of churches in the Diocese of East Anglia are now live streaming their Masses online with more joining all the time.


Recently, Cardinal Vincent Nichols emphasised the usefulness of streaming if churches need to celebrate Mass without a congregation.

Live streaming is currently available from:

Our Lady of the Annunciation in Poringland is now live streaming daily Masses on its YouTube channel. At 8am Monday to Friday and 9am Saturday and Sunday. 

St George, Norwich is now live streaming Masses on weekdays at 10am; rosary at 9.40am; plus podcasting a daily Evening Prayer at 6pm and reflections every day, and Mass on Sundays at 10.30am. Access them all from the website: www.stgeorgenorwich.com

Fr James Caulfield at Our Lady and St Charles Borromeo in Wisbech is recording a daily Mass and making it available for broadcast at 10am each day on YouTube. Fr James has also recorded the Angelus promise and will post other prayers such as the stations of the cross over the next few days.

Our Lady Star of the Sea in Lowestoft has created a Facebook group to live stream Masses, music and prayers to his parishioners and is also providing audio recordings, audio bidding prayers and PDFs of liturgy through its website https://www.ourladylowestoft.com

The Parish of Brandon and Mildenhall, under priest Fr Luke Goymour is live streaming a daily Mass Monday – Saturday at 10am and Sunday Mass at 11am via its Facebook Page 

St Edmunds Church in Bury St Edmunds is live streaming Masses daily (variable times), Saturday 10am, Sunday 10.30am, plus Rosary and some Prayer of the Church services, on its website and YouTube channel

Fr Arockiya Seelan at Sacred Heart and St Oswald in Peterborough is saying Mass daily online at 9am (Sundays 10am) on YouTube and on the parish website: https://sh-so.org/ Plus these Holy Week Mass times: Holy Thursday  8.15pm, Good Friday Liturgy 3pm, Easter Vigil 8.30pm, Easter Sunday 10am

Our Lady and St Peter, Aldeburgh is live streaming mass each morning at 10am direct from Fr Tony Rogers’s home on YouTube.

Fr James Fyfe at Our Lady and St Joseph, Sheringham, is recording weekday Masses at 10am and from April 6 will be posting them on YouTube

St Peter and All Souls Peterborough is live streaming Masses on its YouTube channel more details on its website: www.stpeterandallsouls.org.uk

St Mary’s, Great Yarmouth, is broadcasting Masses live on its YouTube channel with more details on its website: www.stmarysgy.org.uk

Our Lady of Lourdes Sawston & St John Fisher in Cambridgeshire is podcasting daily Morning Prayer at 9.15am and Evening Prayer at 6pm starting with the Angelus; there are also reflections on the Gospels. Live Mass is now also being broadcast. To find It visit: www.ololsawston.org.uk 
 
Our Lady of the Annunciation in King’s Lynn is now live-streaming via its YouTube channel. It will stream its 11.30am Mass on Sundays and also at 4pm on Wednesdays.
