While the Covid-19 lockdown saw much of the country’s activities come to a standstill, sadly abortion clinics stayed open as providers of “essential medical services”. Indeed, the pandemic saw the launch of increased access to “abortion pills by post” for the termination of pregnancies up to 10 weeks gestation, a sorry development that Pro-life groups are trying to challenge in the courts.
One such provider is Marie Stopes and the diocese is very keen to re-start a 40 Days for Life campaign outside the Marie Stopes clinic in Norwich this September. If you are interested in becoming a 40 Days for Life Leader then please email Robert Colquhoun for more details: firstname.lastname@example.org.
For those who cannot physically attend vigils in Norwich, please consider supporting 40 Days for Life with prayer and fasting from September 23 – November 1.
This year’s March for Life was successfully moved to an online virtual event and on Saturday June 13, some 15,000+ viewers logged on to watch LifeStream20. The online programme included events for younger children, youth and adults and the theme for the day was “Equal from Day One”. You can watch the highlights from LifeStream20 at www.marchforlife.co.uk. We look forward to having a big East Anglian presence at the next March for Life in June 2021.
We are very keen to establish a Pro-Life network across the diocese so please do get in touch with Sarah Ward if you already support the pro-life movement or would like to get involved, email: email@example.com.
