    St Alban's Catholic High School

    Salary: L20-L24

Following an appointment to Headship, the Governors of St Alban’s are looking to appoint a committed, practising Catholic to the role of Deputy Headteacher from September 2024.

St Alban’s is a Catholic School, part of Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Multi Academy Trust, with 1050 students on roll, including a vibrant and growing Sixth Form. As our latest inspection recognized, the school is a strong, respectful, inclusive community, with high aspirations and ambitions for all, well supported by parents and highly respected in Suffolk.

Through our ‘St Alban’s Way’ the school mission is to be ‘Learning, Respecting, Caring’. This means being committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for students no matter what their background, and applies to a strong investment in the development of Staff and Governors.

This is an opportunity for a dedicated professional with a strong vocation to make a real difference to our children and leave a lasting legacy for the community. This key post will suit colleagues who have the experience of working within a Senior Team and the vision to achieve an inclusive education that provides exciting opportunities for all.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with and supporting teachers to improve practice, will have an interest in school structures and have successfully demonstrated leading change. These traits, along with a desire to implement the school’s response to curriculum developments, will allow the successful candidate to have significant influence on the direction of the school.

Visits to the school are encouraged. Please contact Lisa Gittins, Headteacher’s EA, on 01473 726178 or email: lgittins@st-albans.suffolk.sch.uk to arrange a date. Further details and application forms are available on TES and via the school website.

Closing Date: 10 am on 16 February 2024.
Interviews: Week beginning 26 February 2024

All offers of employment will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check, evidence of Right to Work in the UK, and satisfactory completion of all other pre-employment checks.
