    St Mark’s is a one-form entry Catholic primary School serving the parish of St. Mark in Ipswich, Suffolk and the Catholic community of Felixstowe.  We are a community in which Christian values are firmly rooted in the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of each child.  Our rich learning environment and broad, creative curriculum enable our children to be balanced and highly accomplished young people who understand that they are uniquely created by God and are loved and valued for who they are.

    Our school has been assessed by Ofsted as “Outstanding”, and by the Diocese of East Anglia as Grade 1, with an extremely strong Catholic identity which permeates the school’s daily life. We are determined to both maintain those standards and improve upon them, and our new Headteacher will find a welcoming and flexible environment within which to develop and innovate new strategies.

    The school is currently exploring conversion to Academy status with a view to joining Our Lady of Walsingham Multi- Academy Trust.  The new Headteacher will therefore have the opportunity to shepherd the school through both the transition and start of this new chapter in St Mark’s story.

    We welcome applications from aspiring Deputies, experienced Headteachers or Head of Schools who will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership, management and communication skills.
