Walsingham sisters hold retreats and open day

The Community of Our Lady of Walsingham is holding a series of retreats in Walsingham and an open day at their new convent at Dereham.

The Community has led four weekends on the Spirituality of Walsingham and the final retreat of the series from the Friday October 26 to Sunday 28th is called The Virgin Mary in the Kingdom of the Divine Will.

Sr Camilla said: “The weekends are geared to helping us understand in depth what it mean to accept, fulfil and surrender to God’s Will in order to be able to live in the Divine Will, as Our Blessed Lady did throughout her life. The grace was palpable and the enthusiasm of the retreatants knew no end at the end of the weekend. Many of those attending this time round as well as others will be back for more.”

In the meantime, the sisters will be holding an Open Day at the House of the Divine Will in Dereham on Wednesday October 3 between 2-7pm. The convent was recently blessed by Bishop Alan Hopes and they are slowly getting things in place for it to be a place of rest, retreat and formation for members of the immediate and extended community.

You can find the convent at Neatherd Moor, Dereham, NR20 4AZ. Look out for the small car park near the Common and children’s play area. Turn into this and drive up the middle track.
