The World’s Big Sleep Out – 7th December 2019

The World's Big Sleep Out

The Diocesan Youth Service and Caritas East Anglia are working together to host our own sleep out event as part of ‘The World’s Big Sleep Out.’ This is an international campaign that invites people to sleep out in solidarity with those experiencing homelessness and displacement, and raises money for homeless charities. Here are the details of our event:

Where: Norwich (for safeguarding reasons, the address will only be sent out to those who have registered)

When: Saturday 7th December from 7pm – 7am Sunday 8th December. However you are welcome to come for as little or as long as you are able.

What do we do: We will start with a vigil Mass at 7pm followed by refreshments. Throughout the night there will be hot drinks / soup available but the main thing to do is try to sleep!

What age is it for: We welcome people of all ages but ask that children of primary school aged are accompanied by an adult. People of secondary school age may come unaccompanied on completion of a parental consent form (which will be sent out after registration).

Donate: We are raising money for homeless charities. You will be able to donate (whether you take part yourself in the event or not) online. Details to follow.
