The Ignite Team runs various events around the Diocese of East Anglia within both parishes and schools. Retreats, assemblies, RE Classes and school missions can all be run for schools by the team and are designed to explore areas of the Catholic faith in a vibrant and informed way.
In parishes the Ignite Team are able to come and run a Confirmation or First Holy Communion session. They are also able to run a youth Mass either celebrated or concelebrated by the chaplain to the team: Fr Luke Goymour with music, testimony and post-Communion reflections being provided.
Glow Days: these are retreat days the Ignite Team can come and run in your parish and/or deanery for young people in your parish who are interested in growing in their faith. The days is composed of dynamic talks, interactive workshops, activities, music and opportunities for prayer and reflection. Below are a list of events from around the Diocese, the majority are run by the Diocesan Youth Service but there are some run by other organisations operating within the Diocese of East Anglia.
May 5th – 6th: Ignite Festival 2018 – annual event open to all youth of the Diocese, especially those making their Confirmation this year. Visit: www.ignitefestival.co.uk
June 2nd – 3rd: Celebrate East Anglia – family-friendly weekend for all ages in Bury St Edmunds, with streams for each age group up to age 18. Visit: www.celebrateconference.org/eastanglia
July 24th – 29th: Northern Saints Youth Pilgrimage – including Lindisfarne, York and Iona – run by the Diocesan Youth Service for those aged 16+.
January 19th – 28th, 2019: World Youth Day Panama, open to those aged 17 or older by the 1st of September, 2018. For further information please click here.
