Archive appeal issued for old Catholic directories

An appeal has been issued for old copies of Catholic directories to help fill some gaps in the Diocese of East Anglia official archives, held at St John’s Cathedral in Norwich.

Archivist Michael Hill said that they are missing lots of annual editions of both the National Catholic Directory, published since 1837, and also editions of the Northampton Diocesan Directory published since 1975.

Also, if anyone has a copy of the Diocese of East Anglia yearbook from 1976 (if one was published), that would also be gratefully received.

If you have anything you can offer, please contact archivists Michael and Gill Hill, on archive@rcdea.org.uk
