Parishioners from St Laurence’s in Cambridge marked the Solemnity of the Assumption with a procession through their local neighbourhood.
On Sunday August 16, the parish brought its weekend Masses for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary to a close with a procession led by parish priest Fr Robin Joseph CRM.
A large number of parishioners joined the procession, which made its way through the streets surrounding St Laurence’s. The faithful recited the Rosary together as they walked, praying for and blessing the local neighbourhood.
The procession was a public expression of faith and devotion to Our Lady, bringing the parish community together in prayer while offering a visible Christian witness to those living nearby.
Parishioners then returned to St Laurence’s, where the celebration concluded in the church with a final blessing for all those who had taken part.
