On Friday November 10, clergy from the Cambridge deanery convened at St Joseph’s Church, St Neots, for their annual Mass in memory of Deceased Clergy. The primary celebrant was Dean John Minh. This gathering marked a significant moment, as it was the first time that it had taken place in St Neots since it had been re-established as a separate parish from Buckden a few years ago. It also enabled a broader welcome for priests at the Deanery meeting.
The meeting saw an impressive turnout with nearly all deanery priests in attendance (19 in total). Dean Minh led the proceedings, where priests exchanged updates on their respective parishes and deliberated on contemporary issues. Notably, upcoming programmes for Eucharistic ministers and catechists within the deanery were unveiled. Following the Mass, a reception hosted by the local Parish priest, Fr Tibor Borovsky, provided an opportunity for extended and engaging discussions among the clergy into the afternoon.
