Ignite Team Reports Growth, Joy and New Initiatives

The Diocese of East Anglia’s annual Youth Service newsletter highlights a year marked by growth, renewed enthusiasm, and a powerful sense of the Holy Spirit at work among young people.

The so-called “Quiet Revival”, noted nationally for increasing youth engagement in faith, is strongly reflected in our own diocese. Director of Youth Services, Hamish MacQueen, reports record demand for events such as Flame and the Ignite Festival, with venues expanded to accommodate unexpectedly large numbers of participants. He also observes the rising interest in parish-based youth groups, including a thriving weekly gathering of around 40 young people at Norwich Cathedral.
