Jonathan Ellis will join the charity’s next convoy of trucks, which is due to depart for Lviv in October 2026. Each truck is crewed by two volunteer drivers, who are responsible for raising at least £9,000 to purchase the vehicle and fill it with high-quality medical and humanitarian supplies before making the three to four-day journey across Europe.
The charity is run entirely by volunteers, with drivers also covering the cost of fuel, accommodation during the journey and their return travel home.
Jonathan is one of five drivers from Norfolk taking part in the convoy this autumn. Together, they are aiming to raise more than £54,000 to support those affected by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
The aid delivered to Lviv provides essential support to communities continuing to endure the devastating impact of war. Organisers say every contribution makes a meaningful difference to those in need.
Anyone wishing to support Jonathan’s fundraising efforts can do so via his JustGiving page: www.justgiving.com/page/jonathan-ellis-75.
As preparations continue for the October convoy, the volunteers remain committed to bringing practical assistance and hope to the people of Ukraine.
