Priest launches podcast to beat the Coronavirus

A priest in self-isolation due to the Coronavirus has begun a podcast in order to continue his ministry.

Fr Andrew Eburne, Catholic chaplain at the University of East Anglia, has had to go into self-isolation, under the current Coronavirus guidelines, after coming down with a persistent cough.

In order to stay in touch with parishioners and students he has begun broadcasting a podcast.

The first episode of the new podcast, called Ego Sum Via, is available online at https://egosumvia.podbean.com/ and deals with issues surrounding Coronavirus, but also tells the story of Fr Andrew’s own vocation.

“It’s good to be able to use modern technology to continue preaching the Gospel,” said Fr Andrew, “– even when I can’t leave the house!”

Fr Andrew will broadcast his homilies and other materials online, and plans to continue to do so throughout the current health emergency.
