Priests move to new roles across Diocese of East Anglia

A number of priests across the Diocese of East Anglia have moved to new parishes and roles over the summer. The new roles are:


Fr Pat Cleary is Parish Priest of Our Lady and St Thomas, Wymondham.

Canon Simon Blakesley is Parish Priest of St Laurence, Cambridge.

Fr Michael Ryan is Parish Priest of Our Lady of Good Counsel and St Peter, March.

Fr Christopher Smith is Parish Priest of Our Lady Immaculate and St Etheldreda, Newmarket.

Fr Luke Goymour is Parish Priest of St Thomas of Canterbury Brandon with St John the Evangelist, Mildenhall. Fr Luke also continues as Chaplain to the Ignite youth ministry in the Diocese.

Fr Peter Raj is Parish Priest of St Mark’s Ipswich with Holy Family Brantham.

Fr Jaylord Magpuyo is Assistant Priest of St Edmund, Bury St Edmund’s.

Fr Andrew Eburne is Assistant Priest of St John the Baptist Cathedral and continues as Chaplain to the University of East Anglia.

Fr Alvan Ibeh is Assistant Priest to St Mary’s Great Yarmouth and St Peter’s Gorleston, with St Ignatius Caister and Acle.

Fr Dick White retired at the end of August to live in the parish of Diss.

Fr Paul Maddison and Fr Henry Whisenant are discerning their vocations in the Benedictine life in Douai Abbey and Tasmania, respectively.
