At the SVP National Pilgrimage to Walsingham on 5 July, Carolyn Donaldson of the King’s Lynn Conference was presented with a certificate marking 50 years of service. The award celebrates her longstanding commitment to supporting those in need through the work of the SVP.
Carolyn was accompanied on the day by her grandson, Joe, who was delighted to share in the occasion and expressed great pride in his grandmother’s achievement.
She is pictured alongside fellow King’s Lynn Conference member Jim Smith, who received his own 50-year long service certificate last year. Together, the pair represent more than a century of faithful service to the SVP and to their local community.
Their dedication reflects the enduring mission of the St Vincent de Paul Society, whose members continue to offer practical support, friendship and compassion to people across the Diocese of East Anglia and beyond.
