The Diocese of East Anglia is seeking a Deputy Diocesan Accountant to strengthen its finance team. Duties will include maintaining the ledger, preparing management accounts, financial analysis to support budgeting and planning, and supporting local parishes with their financial reporting to the Diocese.
Salary: In the range £40-45,000
Location: Poringland, Norwich
Hours: Full time
The successful candidate is likely to be professionally qualified, energetic and personable with a commitment to customer care and high ethical standards. The Diocese of East Anglia has 52 parishes serving Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The total turnover of the Diocesan charity is some £6.5 million and is dependent on the goodwill donations of parishioners and the work of volunteers. The very small central team ensures that financial management and reporting meet the standards demanded by charity law and regulation, often working closely with the Diocesan Trustees and with the volunteer members of parish finance committees.
