Walk to Walsingham for St Edmund

Pilgrims from across the Diocese are invited to take part in a special pilgrimage from King’s Lynn to Walsingham on Saturday 27 June in honour of St Edmund, the martyr king of East Anglia and patron saint of Norfolk.

The pilgrimage will begin with Mass at 7am at Our Lady of the Annunciation, King’s Lynn, before pilgrims set out on the journey towards the National Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham. The route covers approximately 18 miles, with part of the journey completed by bus.

The day will conclude with Vespers in the Holy House at Walsingham, offering pilgrims an opportunity for prayer and thanksgiving at one of England’s most treasured places of pilgrimage.

Participants are encouraged to bring a parish flag or standard to carry during the pilgrimage. Anyone wishing to take part is asked to RSVP to Daniel by text on 07398 387869.

The pilgrimage forms a fitting opportunity to honour the witness of St Edmund and to deepen faith through prayer, fellowship and pilgrimage in this Diocesan Jubilee year.
