A Listening Ear and Prayerful Support for Those in Need

The Diocese of East Anglia offers a free Ministry of Listening and Prayer for parishioners who may need someone to talk to in a supportive, prayerful Catholic environment.

Whatever you may be going through, speaking with a compassionate listener can help to ease the burden and bring clarity to difficult situations. The ministry provides a safe and confidential space where individuals can share their concerns and be supported through attentive listening and prayer.

Trained volunteer Helpers are available to accompany those facing a wide range of challenges, including bereavement and loss, health concerns, family and relationship difficulties, struggles in faith, experiences of abuse, anxiety, workplace pressures and other life problems.

All Helpers have received training in prayerful listening, spiritual guidance, safeguarding and data protection (GDPR), ensuring that those who seek support are treated with care, respect and confidentiality. The service is open to adults aged 18 and over.

If you, or someone you know, would benefit from this ministry, further information and details of how to get in touch can be found on the diocesan website: https://www.rcdea.org.uk/listening-and-prayer/
