Fr Alvan Ibeh: Keep Asking, Seeking & Knocking
November 4, 2026
On 26 September 2026, the D’Sepra Band, the parish’s Filipino band, held their annual charity concert in the narthex.
Over 100 friends and family members from around Norwich and the diocese attended, supporting the event with generous donations of food, raffle prizes and financial contributions. This year’s concert had two aims: to raise funds for ANCOP (Answering the Cry of the Poor) scholars and to support parish youth attending Flame 2027 and World Youth Day 2027 in Seoul, South Korea.
The concert raised £2,180, with £1,100 going to the scholars programme and £1,080 to the parish youth. Those attending enjoyed good tunes, great vocals and delicious food, courtesy of Joan Pape and her team of volunteers, with cakes provided by St John’s Youth Group.
The organisers thanked everyone who attended and supported the annual charity concert and said they looked forward to welcoming them again next year.
