Volunteers’ Week has been celebrated across the UK for the past 41 years. It is a special opportunity to recognise the outstanding contributions of volunteers who enrich our communities every day, and to thank them for their invaluable efforts.
The week also serves to strengthen connections between national organisations and grassroots groups, while highlighting the diversity and unity of volunteering across the country.
Jane Crone, who works for CAFOD in the Diocese of East Anglia, said:
“CAFOD volunteers are at the heart of our work. It is a privilege to work with our dedicated supporters who tirelessly pray, act and give to support our work in parishes and schools. This Volunteers’ Week I would like to say a big thank you to every one of them.”
She adds:
“We are currently looking for volunteers to visit Catholic schools to deliver assemblies and workshops in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. We offer training and pay travel expenses. If you think that you might be suitable for this role and would like to find out more please contact me by email jcrone@cafod.org.uk.”
