Fred Grimley has received the Diocesan Medal in recognition of 40 years of outstanding service to the clergy at St Cecilia’s, Dersingham, in the parish of Hunstanton.
Fred has quietly, calmly and lovingly been a model of service within the parish in many different ways. For many years, he has led groups promoting wellbeing and has managed the sacristies across two busy churches.
The award was presented by Canon Peter Rollings, who spoke of his personal gratitude for Fred’s dedicated service. It was particularly fitting that Fred received the honour at the altar he has so faithfully prepared for Mass over many years.
