Job vacancies at Walsingham National Shrine

The Catholic National Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham is seeking to recruit the following staff who are committed to customer service.

DOMESTIC/GENERAL ASSISTANT

Key responsibilities: 

• To maintain and help manage a good standard of cleanliness at Shrine accommodation.
• To report any health and safety issues or maintenance problems that may occur and help with any other work that may be assigned.

Summer hours (April to October) minimum 27.5 hrs per week; winter hours (November to March) minimum 16.5 hours per week. Includes weekends. £9.50 per hour.

KITCHEN/GENERAL ASSISTANT

Key responsibilities:

• To help with the general food preparation and serving meals in the kitchen and drinks in the bar when needed.
• To wash-up and maintain a good standard of cleanliness and high standard of health and hygiene in the kitchen. To help with any other work that may be assigned.

Summer hours minimum 27.5 hrs per week; winter hours minimum 16.5 hours per week. Includes weekends. £9.50 per hour.

KITCHEN CHEF/GENERAL SUPERVISOR

Key responsibilities:

• To cook and prepare meals for Elmham House dining room.
• To supervise bar duties.
• To maintain and manage a good standard of cleanliness and a high standard of health and hygiene in the kitchen.
• To supervise the general day to day duties of the kitchen staff and to report any health and safety issues or maintenance problems that may occur.
• To help with painting, decorating and cleaning in the winter.

Minimum of 35 hours a week. Includes weekends. £10.35 per hour

All positions include pension, health and life insurance. The role will require the successful candidate to undertake a DBS check.
