Walsingham Sisters offer retreats for body and soul

The Community of Our Lady of Walsingham will be running two retreats, on theology of the body and spirituality. Sr Theresa OCLW explains the opportunities.

Places are still available on our Theology of the Body retreat for women this August, entitled ‘Reclaiming Authentic Femininity’. It will run from August 6 – 8. We have invited guest speakers, Mrs Christine Ward and Fr David Marsden SCJ, and we’re really looking forward to all they have to share with us. The retreat is open to women of all ages, married or single.

You can bring a friend and share a beautiful twin ensuite room for just £125 each for the weekend or you can have your own standard or ensuite room (£140 / £160). This includes meals, refreshments, speakers’ fees – everything you need for a brilliant summer retreat in Walsingham. We can even help with transport. If you would struggle financially to attend this retreat, please get in touch with me, as bursaries for part of the cost are available. To find out more, click here.

And after holding the first two retreats of the Walsingham Spirituality series on Zoom this year, we were delighted to once again welcome residential guests to Dowry House from July 9 to 11 for the third of our Walsingham Spirituality series. Whilst there was some additional work involved so as to comply with covid-safety guidance (such as social distancing) it was well worth the effort.

You would we most welcome to attend our fourth retreat from September 10 – 12. The retreat is available both residentially and on Zoom. You can find out more about it here.
