The God Who Speaks, Pope’s intention, Pax Christi

The God who speaks initiative is focussing in September on ‘Scripture and the Environment’. This is to coincide with the Season of Creation and preparations for the COP26 meeting in Glasgow.

You can access the resources on godwhospeaks.uk/noah-and-creation-care

There is also a special Noah Day for schools and parishes with help from Clifton and Westminster dioceses and a range of superb contributors: godwhospeaks.uk/run-your-own-noah-day

The Pope’s intention this month is also about the environment, and can be seen on YouTube here:

 An Environmentally Sustainable Lifestyle

It follows the recent report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which was immediately recognised as a serious wake-up call about global warming and the risk it poses, which increases by the day. The headlines of the report can be read here: www.ipcc.ch/report

For a several years, the parish of St Laurence in Cambridge has displayed felt banners during Advent and Christmas.

The designers of these banners would now like to offer them to a wider audience. Three have been used to create Christmas cards which will shortly be available from Pax Christi on www.paxchristi.org.uk.

If any parish would like to display these banners this year, please contact Arn Dekker on 2ArnDekker@gmail.com to arrange details of the loan.
