Parishes across the Diocese of East Anglia are being invited to take part in this year’s Operation Christmas Child Workshop, which will be held at St George’s Catholic Church in Norwich on Saturday 12 September 2026.
The workshop, organised in support of Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child appeal, will run from 10.00am to 12.30pm and is designed to help individuals, schools and parish groups prepare for this year’s shoebox campaign.
Operation Christmas Child has become a much-loved annual initiative for many Catholic communities across the Diocese, with volunteers filling shoeboxes with gifts for children living in poverty around the world. The appeal offers a practical way to share Christ’s love through simple acts of generosity, bringing joy and hope to children who may otherwise receive no gifts.
The workshop will take place at St George’s RC Church, Sprowston Road, Norwich, NR3 4HZ. Refreshments will be provided and parking is available on site.
