Join Pope in Act of Consecration of Russia and Ukraine

Parishes across the Diocese of East Anglia are being asked to join Pope Francis and Bishop Alan Hopes in an Act of Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Friday March 25.

The Bishops of England and Wales, desiring to express spiritual solidarity with the people of Ukraine and with all peace-loving Russians, will join the Holy Father, Pope Francis, in his Act of Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Friday March 25.

The Holy Father will make the Act of Consecration at 4pm (UK time). It will be broadcast worldwide by Mondovisione.

Bishop Alan will be making the Act of Consecration in Walsingham at the Shrine of Our Lady at the end of the 12 noon Solemn Mass for the Annunciation of the Lord.

The Act of Consecration will take place in St John the Baptist Cathedral in Norwich at the end of the 10am Mass on Friday and will be led by Canon David Paul.

Every parish in the diocese has also been asked to make the Act of Consecration at the end of Mass on that day or at some other devotion such as Stations of the Cross or the recitation of the Rosary.
